Chapter 8
Storm
I decided to take an approach that I never took before; just be honest.
âBuzz, Buzz
âSilence
âBuzz, Buzz
âMy phone woke me up vibrating alerting me that I had notifications. Unlocking my phone, I saw that I had mad messages from Roxy. She still continued to call and text me even though I wasnât responding. Her ass was going to have to get blocked because she was doing way too fucking much.
âThe next thing I saw was that I had 2 new emails and a slew of calls and texts from Yas as well. It was 9 in the damn morning on a Saturday and this was annoying as hell that I couldnât even sleep in. Yas hadnât tried texting or calling me since the DNA test so there was only one reason she could be texting me now. Opening my email there were 2 emails from the clinic.
âThe first one was just a notice that the results were sent to Yas and I. The second email I opened and there was a pdf file attached. Downloading and opening it I read the results and felt like my heart had sank into the pit of my stomach.
ââDamn,â I said aloud as I laid on my back and rubbed both of my hands down my face. Yas was really pregnant with my baby. âDamn man.â I didnât even have to open the messages from her because I knew she was talking shit, and that was the last thing I needed right now. How the hell was I going to tell Skyy about this?
âMy ass had been almost certain that this wasnât my baby, but the results were showing that it was 99.9% mine. Sitting up on the couch I put my head in my hands. First, I needed to be as nice as possible to Skyy. She had pissed me off last night, but a baby trumped telling a nigga some dumb shit about me cheating.
âThe reason I was mad though was because I knew that nigga was only trying to be her âfriendâ because he wanted my bitch. Then the way he put his arms around her had me mad; he was way too comfortable with that shit. Enough about that nigga though, he was nothing compared to the ass kissing I was probably going to have to do to keep Skyy with me. After about 10 minutes of thinking about what I could do to get her into my good graces I decided to take an approach that I never took before; just be honest.
âTaking a deep breath, I went up the stairs and peeking into the room I saw Skyy was laid out on the bed knocked out still. It looked like she hadnât missed me too much as her legs and arms were sprawled over the bed. She was snoring lightly and even her snores sounded beautiful. Going into the bathroom I decided to brush my teeth before I woke her up. In reality, I was stalling because I know this was going to be hard.
